The Phone Booth

Intro
The phone booth is one of the scary story from Japan that tells two best friend who's interested with ghost story or legends.

The story is about two guys named Kenzo and Tatsuya who always share scary stories with each other. Whenever they meet, they have to tell a scary story.

One day, when Tatsuya was browsing the internet, he found a website that has a lot of Japan's legends. Then, he read a story about a bridge near his house.

On that website, there's a lot of picture about the bridge and the surroundings. When he read that legend, Tatsuya knew that Kenzo would be interested. Then, when he met Kenzo, he told him about that bridge legend. That bridge was already old, it was used to cross the cliff.

It was explained in that website that the bridge was popular because a lot of people commit suicide in that bridge. Every year, there's about 20-30 people who jumped from that bridge. No one can explain why they commit suicide. They say that that place is haunted by the spirits from everyone who commits suicide in that bridge. 

When Kenzo went home, he was planning to visit that place. He really wanted to see a ghost.

When the night arrives, he went to the mountain where that bridge is. It takes around half an hour to reach that place. When it's almost midnight.

He arrives at that bridge and no one was there. It was dark and silent. The atmosphere was so creepy and made his back felt cold.

"Wow, this place is creepy," says him mumbling while walking carefully to the cliff's edge and peek inside.

He then starts thinking that everyone who jumped into that cliff. That thought made his skin crawls. This is very intense and had to tell Tatsuya about this place.

He reach out for his phone and start pressing number. But then he realize that this is a high place and far from a signal range.

He saw around and found a phone booth that's not far from him. He went to that phone booth, entering some coins and pressing Tatsuya's number.

"Hello? Tatsuya! Guess where i am now!", says him. "I'm on that bridge that you told me about!".
" The view is amazing! You have to come here someday!"

"Well, i want to...", he replied. "I've seen the pictures on web... hey wait a second.. how do you call me?"

Kenzo cackling
"Oh, my cell didn't get a signal. So i called you from a phone booth nearby."

Tatsuya confused
"Phone booth? There's no phone booth there. I already saw it in the picture."

"What are you talking about?", Kenzo asked "I'm in a phone booth right in front of the bridge's entrance... wait, i better go.. there's a line outside waiting to use the phone booth... i'll call you back when i'm home."

When Kenzo just finished talking, Tatsuya yelled
"No! Kenzo! Don't go out of that place! I know that place! I'll be there in 30 minutes. Whatever happens, don't move!"

"What's wrong?"

"Promise me you won't move an inch, okay?" I'm coming!"

When his friend hang the phone, Kenzo felt a wave of fears covering him.

He stands near the phone booth and the phone keeps sticking on his ear. He turns, he saw the people in the line that's standing outside the phone booth, slowly watching him. Their eyes made Kenzo shiver.

Half an hour later, when Tatsuya arrived on that bridge, he found his friend standing near the cliff's edge. He was holding his phone on his ear.

There was no phone booth and there was no line of people waiting to use the phone booth.

If Kenzo just move one inch, he will fall from the cliff's edge and fell inside.
